  • God is so good to me, He's so good to me! Yes He is good to me all the time. How can I complain???? Why do we tend to complain when things don't go the way we think they should?? We are suppose to let God be in control, So why complain when things happen like he wants but not like we want? Its just some things I've been thinking about the last little while.

We took a break from our ladies study for about 6 weeks or so. Now tomorrow evening is our first one since we are starting up again.

The verses are John 14:27, John 16:33, Mathew 10:29-31

    Some of the questions are:

    1.What does Jesus give us?

2.What does the world give if we belong to Jesus?

3.What kind of peace does Jesus give us?

    4. What things trouble us?

    5. what things make you afraid?

    6. According to Jesus, should you be troubled or afraid? Why?

    7. Does he know every insidious sin in our hearts?

    8. Does He love us still?

I thought these were thought provoking questions. This book really makes you deal with things which is good.  Just thought I'd see what everyones thoughts were on these. They are very thought provoking to me.

I'm in the process of updating my website and making a few changes. I got a new shipment of fabrics in a couple weeks ago so we are adding those to it. Hopefully it will soon be done.

I need to sew this afternoon and get 3 dresses done fo a girl that I'm making them for. Then I want to get some done for us as well.

I also need to finish school for the day. So must go for now.

  • Its so beautiful out. We are getting our first snow of the season that is amounting to anything. Its almost hard to believe we had up to 70 degrees the last few days. Its now 32 and snowing. The girls had to get ready and go out and play for awhile. I love the beauty of the snow. It reminds me of a verse I know.

Your future lies before you                                                                                                                              Like a field of pure white snow,                                                                                                                Becareful how you tread on it,                                                                                                                         For every step will show.

Isn't that so true in our pilgrimage here on earth. We must becareful to do only what the Lord would have us to do. For in the end what's done for Jesus is what  will matter. I want to do only those things that please my Lord and master. Yes it will mater if we don't live for Jesus. I want to keep my life pure before the Lord, so that I don't have any regrets come judgement day.

We are in the process of updating our website. We are adding all our new fabrics and putting links to others sites on it. I am looking forward to having it all done.

May God be with all of you in the coming days.

  • Greetings this beautiful cold evening! We had 13 degrees yesterday morning. Not sure what it was today. God is in control of it all. It does seem earlier this year than other years though.

Praise God my fabrics got found on Friday afternoon and they got delivered on Monday at noon. I worked out in my store all day on Monday so no school that day. But it is all on the shelf and pictures are all taken and need uploaded to my website. I also need to get the samples all ready to mail out.

On Tuesday I went up to the cheese store we go to and got 30-40# blocks of cheese. 20 of them are for people coming to a wedding this weekend at the mennonite church. I was loaded. A friend went with me and I took the baby (2 yr old). She likes to be the baby though. So no school on Tuesday either.

We did school the last 2 days now so we will see how far we get tomorrow. We are finally done with the first book in learning to read serries and have started the second one. Irene is also done with the first math light unit as well. We are still behind in Bible and language arts. But until they know more phonics I'm not doing language arts. They don't know how to read very much yet. So I'll hold off til they know it better.

Praise God for work as well. After having so little work Gerhard finnally has some again. A brother in the church has also called saying he has work to if he needs it. That is such a blessing. He has 2 jobs in Madison and he is working on one of those right now.

Well I need to go get busy and clean up the house and work on supper and do some more laundry.
